This Duramax came in with the rear exhaust letting go. That rusted-out pipe wasn't just ugly - it was done. The metal had corroded completely through, leaving a hole you could stick your fingers in. That kind of failure means exhaust gases going places they shouldn't, and a sound that tells you something is seriously wrong.
We pulled the damaged section, cleaned up the rust, and repaired the pipe properly. From there, we fitted the right hardware and hanger to make sure everything is supported and sitting where it needs to be. No shortcuts, no Band-Aid fixes.
The customer also wanted an axle dump setup, so we modified the exit point to route the exhaust out just ahead of the rear axle. It's a clean, tucked look that keeps things out of the way and gives the truck a tone that matches the way it looks. That kind of custom exhaust fabrication work is exactly what we do.
We checked clearances all the way through before calling it done. On a lifted diesel with big tires, that step matters. The last thing you want is a pipe contacting something it shouldn't under load or flex.
The truck left running right and sounding the way a Duramax should. If your diesel has an exhaust issue - whether it's rust, a failed section, or you just want to modify the setup - this is the kind of work we handle every day.
