Resonator Swap and Rock Slider Mount Fix on a Built Truck

This truck came in with two separate issues that needed attention - exhaust drone and vibration that had been nagging the owner, plus a passenger-side rock slider that wasn't sitting right. Not every job is a full build from scratch. Sometimes it's about dialing in the details that are already there and making them work the way they should.

On the exhaust side, we swapped in a set of new resonators. Resonators get overlooked a lot, but they do real work. They're specifically designed to cancel out certain sound frequencies - the kind of low, constant drone you feel in your chest and feet on the highway. When they wear out or aren't spec'd right for the system, that vibration becomes a daily annoyance. Fresh units, properly welded in, and that problem goes away.

The rock slider mount repair was its own task. The passenger-side mount wasn't sitting at the right angle, which meant the step wasn't functioning the way it should. We used a digital angle gauge to get the geometry exactly right before laying down a single weld. That's not an extra step - that's just how you do it correctly. A step that's off even a few degrees can feel sloppy and can cause wear on the mounting points over time.

What we ended up with was a clean, properly fitted slider and an exhaust system that runs smooth and quiet the way the owner wanted. Both repairs done right, no shortcuts.
