Sleeper cab installs look simple on paper. Bolt it up, move on. But that's rarely how it actually goes - and this one was no different. When the client brought this rig in, we already knew there were going to be some fitment issues to sort out before anything got permanently mounted.
Here's what we were working with - a rear frame that needed to be cleaned up before it could even support the cab properly. We don't skip that step. Mounting a cab onto a compromised frame is just setting the client up for problems down the road. So we addressed it first, reinforced the cab structure, and then got into the mock-up process to figure out exactly what adjustments were needed.
The fitment issue was the tricky part. Getting a sleeper cab to sit right isn't just about lining up holes. It's about making sure the cab sits level, sits secure, and transitions cleanly to the rest of the truck. We mocked everything up, identified where the gaps were, and fabricated the fixes on the spot. That's where custom metal fabrication experience really matters - you have to be able to problem-solve in real time and make parts that actually fit the specific truck in front of you, not some ideal version of it.
What we ended up with was a clean, solid install the client can trust. No shortcuts, no guesswork. From the frame prep to the final fitment, every step was done with the intention of making it last. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every job that comes through the shop.
